Frequently asked questions

How does the readiness check work?

Each day you answer a short check-in covering sleep, soreness, discomfort, stress, motivation, and confidence. MatReturnRx calculates a composite readiness score and gives you a green, yellow, or red result — along with specific recommendations for how to train (or modify) that day. Red means stop and seek qualified evaluation; yellow means train at modified intensity; green means you’re good to go.

What is MatReturnRx’s AI coach?

MatReturnRx uses on-device AI to generate sport-specific, personalized training and conditioning plans based on your athlete profile, readiness data, and competition schedule. Free users get limited AI requests per day; Pro members get unlimited access. The AI provides educational guidance only — it is not a medical professional.

How do I manage or cancel my Pro subscription?

MatReturnRx Pro is billed through Apple. To cancel, go to your iPhone’s Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions and select MatReturnRx. You can cancel anytime; access continues until the end of the current billing period. For refund requests, contact Apple Support directly, as Apple handles all billing for App Store purchases.

I purchased Pro but the app still shows Free. What do I do?

Go to your Profile tab → Subscription & Billing → Restore Purchases. This re-validates your Apple receipt and activates your Pro status. If the issue persists, email us with your Apple ID email (not your password) and we’ll look into it.

Can I export or delete my data?

Yes. Email us at main@matreturnrx.com with your account email and the request type (export or deletion). We will process it within 30 days. See our Privacy Policy for full details on your data rights.

My child is a minor athlete. What do I need to do?

Athletes under 18 require a parent or guardian to sign the Liability Waiver during onboarding within the app. Users under 13 require additional parental consent before certain features are enabled. If you have questions about a minor’s account or want to review or delete their data, email us directly. See our Privacy Policy (COPPA section) for more details.

Is MatReturnRx a medical app?

No. MatReturnRx provides educational performance and training guidance only. It does not diagnose injuries, provide medical treatment, or replace evaluation by a physician, physical therapist, or athletic trainer. If you are experiencing discomfort, new sensations, or are unsure whether it is safe to train, stop and seek qualified medical evaluation.

Do I need to sign a waiver?

Yes. Before accessing training features in the app, you must sign our Liability Waiver & Assumption of Risk electronically. For minors under 18, a parent/guardian signature is also required. This waiver acknowledges that exercise carries inherent risks and that you voluntarily assume those risks. The waiver is presented within the app during onboarding and can be reviewed anytime in Profile → Legal Documents.

What does the waiver cover?

The Liability Waiver explains that MatReturnRx provides educational guidance only and is not a substitute for medical care. It includes an assumption of risk for exercise-related injuries, a release of liability for MatReturnRx LLC, and acknowledgment that you are responsible for your own health and safety decisions. You can review the waiver content within the app before signing.
